Madonna

Madonna Louise Ciccone Ritchie (born August 16, 1958), known as Madonna, is an American recording artist and entertainer. Born in Bay City, Michigan and raised in Rochester Hills, Michigan, Madonna moved to New York City for a career in modern dance. After performing as member of the pop musical groups Breakfast Club and Emmy, she released her self-titled debut album in 1983, and then produced three consecutive number-one studio albums on the Billboard 200 in the 1980s and four more since year 2000.

Madonna is known for her works that explore religious symbolism and sexual themes which also drew criticism from the Vatican in the late 1980s. In 1992, she founded an entertainment company, Maverick, which published a book of photographs (Sex). She also released a studio album (Erotica) and starred in a film (Body of Evidence) with erotic themes. These works generated negative publicity and coincided with a fall in commercial sales in the 1990s. Madonna's career was revived in 1998, when the release of her album Ray of Light garnered critical acclaim.

Madonna has acted in 22 films. Although many failed critically and commercially, she earned a Golden Globe Award for her role in the 1996 film Evita. In 1996 Madonna conceived a daughter, Lourdes Maria (also known as Lola) by personal trainer Carlos Leon before marrying film director Guy Ritchie in 2000. She and Ritchie have two sons, Rocco and David Banda, a Malawian boy they adopted in 2006, which caused media allegations they violated that country's adoption laws.

Madonna has been regarded as "one of the greatest pop acts of all time" and dubbed the "Queen of Pop" by various sources. She is ranked by the Recording Industry Association of America as the best-selling female rock artist of the twentieth century and the second top-selling female artist in the United States with 63 million certified albums. Guinness World Records list her as the world's most successful female recording artist of all time and the top-earning female singer in the world with an estimated net worth of US$490 million, having sold over 200 million records worldwide. On March 10, 2008, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Trans Siberian Orchestra

Trans-Siberian Orchestra (often abbreviated as TSO) is a rock orchestra founded by Paul O'Neill, Robert Kinkel, and Jon Oliva in 1996. The band's musical style is often described in different terms, incorporating progressive rock, symphonic metal, and heavy metal, with influences from classical music. The group is based in New York City, but frequently tours worldwide. The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is known for its renditions of traditional Christmas songs. Some of their best known works include such songs as "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24" (a rendition of "Carol of the Bells" and "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" originally featured on Savatage's 1995 album, Dead Winter Dead), "Christmas Canon", and "Wizards in Winter", all of which are popular selections of radio DJs during the Christmas season.

Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) - Beyonce - Video Music

Chart performance
source: wikipedia

The song debuted at number 78 on the Billboard Hot 100 and slowly rose up the charts. On the Billboard issue dated November 29, the song entered the top 40 at number 28. The following week, "Single Ladies" surged up to number two on the Billboard Hot 100. With strong digital sales of 204,000, "Single Ladies" topped the Hot Digital Songs chart and caused Beyonce's other single release, "If I Were A Boy", to drop down to the number two spot on the same chart with a lower tally of 160,000 copies sold. It continued its stay at number one on Hot Digital Songs for two weeks. It sold 228,000 downloads the following week, a twelve percent increase over last week's tally of 204,000. The single's performance on the chart was boosted due to heavy rotation, reaching the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100, making it Knowles' fifth number one single. This became the first time in history that the top 4 was made up of only two artists. The songs in descending order are; Single Ladies, Live Your Life by T.I., If I Were A Boy (also by Beyonce), and Whatever You Like (also by T.I.). As Knowles fifth number one song, she is now tied with fellow pop/R&B singer Rihanna for most number one songs in this decade by a solo female artist (but it should be noted that Rihanna was not the lead artist, rather a featured aritst, in her previous No. 1 single, Live Your Life with T.I.).It also Should be noted that this is Beyonce's second number one single that do not feature other artists. On the Billboard issue dated December 20, the song was knocked off from the top spot again by "Live Your Life".

The single debuted as Billboard's "Hot Shot Debut" at number 20 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. After gaining the most airplay each week, it has peaked at number one, becoming Knowles' fifth number-one R&B single in her solo career. The song captured number one on iTunes U.S. Top Songs, Top Ringtones, and Top Music Videos lists.

The song debuted at number 81 on the Canadian Hot 100 based on downloads alone, and it skyrocketed to number 17 the next week based on sales strength and has currently reached the top ten peaking at number 8. On the November 24, 2008, "Single Ladies" debuted at number 15 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart.

On November 23, 2008, the song entered the UK Singles Chart at number 67 on downloads alone and has so far peaked at number 62, although not officially released as a single. The week after, it climbed to number 37. Similarly, the song entered the Irish singles chart at number 47 based solely on downloads.

If I were a boy
even just for a day
I'd roll out of bed in the morning
and throw on what I wanted and go

Drink beer with the guys
and chase after girls
I'd kick it with who I wanted
and I'd never get confronted for it
cause they stick up for me

If I were a boy
I think I could understand
How it feels to love a girl
I swear I'd be a better man
I'd listen to her
Cause I know how it hurts
When you lose the one you wanted
Cause he's taking you for granted
And everything you had got destroyed

If I were a boy
I would turn off my phone
Tell everyone it's broken
so they'd think that I was sleeping alone

I’d put myself first
and make the rules as I go
Cause I know that she’ll be faithful,
waiting for me to come home, to come home.

If I were a boy
I think I could understand
How it feels to love a girl
I swear I'd be a better man
I'd listen to her
Cause I know how it hurts
When you lose the one you wanted
Cause he's taking you for granted
And everything you had got destroyed

It's a little too late for you to come back
Say it's just a mistake,
think i'd forgive you like that
If you thought I would wait for you
you thought wrong

But you're just a boy
You don't understand
and you don't understand, ohhhh
How it feels to love a girl
Someday you wish you were a better man
You don't listen to her
You don't care how it hurts
Until you lose the one you wanted
Cause you're taking her for granted
And everything you had got destroyed

But you're just a boy

I Am… Sasha Fierce

I Am… Sasha Fierce is the third solo studio album by American R&B singer Beyoncé Knowles, released on November 18, 2008 in the United States.

Sasha Fierce
The album introduces Knowles' alter-ego Sasha Fierce. Knowles said that Sasha was "born" during the making of her 2003 hit single "Crazy in Love". However, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly magazine, Knowles noted the her alter-ego is "strictly for the stage". The magazine has described it as "the singer's sensual, aggressive alter ego".

Knowles wears a "roboglove" in public to complement Sasha Fierce. It was Knowles' concept, and New York-based jeweler Lorraine Schwartz made the titanium glove. Its of several pieces, including a ring, a glove and a separate component that covers Knowles' upper arm. The glove first appeared in the video for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)". Knowles later wore it on the red carpet during the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards, on her performance at the Saturday Night Live show, and in the cover for Gotham magazine.

Black Ice - AC/DC Album

Black Ice is the 15th studio album by Australian hard rock band AC/DC, produced by Brendan O'Brien and released worldwide between October 17 and 22, 2008. AC/DC were known to be working on the album as early as January 2006, with it being delayed because of an injury to bassist Cliff Williams and a change of record labels to Sony Music, and in turn Columbia Records.

The album is their longest to date, with the band having recorded it in The Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, Canada, the same studio as their previous album Stiff Upper Lip. It is their first album since the release of Stiff Upper Lip in 2000, the longest gap between two AC/DC studio albums to date.

Black Ice sold around 1,762,000 units in its first week, shipping 5,000,000 copies worldwide. The album went number one in 29 different countries, including Australia, the United Kingdom and United States. In its first week, it sold 784,000 copies in the US alone, with it receiving a three times platinum certification in Australia and selling upwards of 110,000 in the UK. The band's 15th effort has been heralded as "the biggest debut ever by a mainstream hard rock album."

AC/DC

AC/DC is an Australian hard rock band formed in Sydney in 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. Although the band members are considered pioneers of heavy metal, they have always classified their music as "Rock n' roll".

AC/DC underwent several line-up changes before releasing their first album, High Voltage, in 1975. Membership remained stable until bassist Mark Evans was replaced by Cliff Williams in 1977. In 1979, the band recorded their highly successful album Highway to Hell. Lead singer and co-songwriter Bon Scott died on 19 February 1980, after a night of heavy alcohol consumption. The group briefly considered disbanding, but soon ex-Geordie singer Brian Johnson was selected as Scott's replacement. Later that year, the band released their best-selling album, Back in Black.

The band's next album, For Those About to Rock We Salute You, was also highly successful and was their first album to reach number one in the United States. AC/DC declined in popularity soon after drummer Phil Rudd was fired in 1983 and replaced by future Dio drummer Simon Wright. Poor record sales continued until the release of The Razors Edge in 1990, the only studio album to feature Wright's replacement Chris Slade. Phil Rudd returned in 1994 (after Slade was asked to leave in favor of him) and contributed to the band's 1995 album Ballbreaker. Stiff Upper Lip was released in 2000 and was well-received by critics. The band's most recent album Black Ice was released on 20 October 2008.

AC/DC has sold more than 200 million albums worldwide, including 71 million albums in the United States. Back in Black has sold an estimated 42 million units worldwide and 22 million in the United States alone, where it is the fifth highest-selling album. AC/DC ranked fourth on VH1's list of the "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock" and the seventh "Greatest Heavy Metal Band Of All Time" by MTV. In 2004, the band was ranked number 72 in the Rolling Stone list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.

Von Groove - Once in a Lifetime - Lyric

Close the door don't walk away
There's something to say
Come lay down beside me
I've heard the whispers in the rain
callin' your name
they're send to remind me
And if your tears are fallin'
I'll be the voice that's callin'

Ref:
Don't throw it all away
Have faith that stands to be
This is once in a lifetime
Just let me lead the way
straight back to you with me
'Cause this kind of love is
once in a lifetime

Don't hide the tears behind a smile
You've got something my child
more precious than money
It's sad to see true lovers fall
Who'll still have it all
the gifts to somebody?
With ev'ry changin' season
I'll give you one more reason...

(Back to Ref.)

We walk the road that has no end
together, my friend
the storms are behind us
Yeah like a river to the sea
you're gonna find your way to me
in this once in a lifetime.

(Back to Ref.)

As I Lay Dying

Man Guilty of Murdering Friend of T.I.

Fri Nov 28, 2008, 4:20 am EST

A man may live his life behind bars for killing a childhood friend of T.I.

A Cincinnati jury has found Hosea Thomas guilty of the May 2006 nightclub shooting that claimed the life of Philant Johnson, a friend and assistant to the Grammy-winning rapper.

T.I., who witnessed the shooting but wasn't injured, testified last week that he believes the bullets were intended for him. The "Live Your Life" rapper and his entourage were hosting a post-concert bash in Ohio when gunfire erupted.

Thomas, 34, was also convicted of felonious assault and illegally having a gun after a felony conviction. He faces life in prison when he is sentenced Dec. 23.

The Day That Never Comes - Metallica

Album: Death Magnetic

Metallica

Is an American heavy metal band that formed in 1981 in Los Angeles. Founded when drummer Lars Ulrich posted an advertisement in a Los Angeles newspaper, Metallica's line-up has primarily consisted of Ulrich, rhythm guitarist and vocalist James Hetfield, and lead guitarist Kirk Hammett, while going through a number of bassists. Currently, the spot is held by Robert Trujillo.

Metallica's early releases included fast tempos, instrumentals, and aggressive musicianship that placed them as one of the "big four" of the thrash metal subgenre alongside Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax. The band earned a growing fan base in the underground music community and critical acclaim, with the 1986 release Master of Puppets described as one of the most influential and "heavy" thrash metal albums. The band achieved substantial commercial success with its self-titled 1991 album, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. With this release the band expanded its musical direction resulting in an album that appealed to a more mainstream audience.

In 2000, Metallica was among several artists who filed a lawsuit against Napster for sharing the band's copyright-protected material for free without the band members' consent. A settlement was reached, and Napster became a pay-to-use service. Despite reaching number one on the Billboard 200, the release of St. Anger alienated many fans with the exclusion of guitar solos and the "steel-sounding" snare drum. A film titled Some Kind of Monster documented the recording process of St. Anger.

Metallica has released nine studio albums, two live albums, two EPs, twenty-two music videos, and forty-three singles. The band has won seven Grammy Awards, and has had five consecutive albums debut at number one on the Billboard 200, making Metallica the only band ever to do so. The band's 1991 album, Metallica, has sold over 15 million copies in the United States, and 22 million copies worldwide, which makes it the 25th-highest-selling album in the country. The band has sold an estimated 100 million records worldwide as of the release of their latest album Death Magnetic. As of September 2008, Metallica is the fifth-highest-selling music artist since the SoundScan era began tracking sales on May 25, 1991, selling a total of 50,111,000 albums in the United States alone.

Dido

Dido was born Dido Florian Cloud de Bounevialle Armstrong at St. Mary Abbots hospital in Kensington, London on Christmas Day 1971. Because she was born on Christmas Day, she also celebrates an "official birthday" on 25 June, following the example of Paddington Bear. Her mother, Clare (née Collins) is a French poet and her father, William O'Malley Armstrong was an Irish publisher and former managing director of Sidgwick & Jackson. She has an older brother, Rowland Constantine O'Malley Armstrong who is better known as record producer Rollo. Despite their impressive birth names, the pair were known from childhood by the names that are famous now — Dido and Rollo. Dido has made it clear that "Dido" is now her real name and not simply a stage name or nickname.

Dido was named after the mythical Queen of Carthage. As a child, she had to deal with the ambiguous and unusual nature of her name, which led to her being bullied and even to her pretending to have an ordinary name. As she explains:

To be called one thing and christened another is actually very confusing and annoying. It's one of the most irritating things that my parents did to me. ...Florian is a German man's name. That's just mean. To give your child a whole lot of odd names. They were all so embarrassing. ...I thought it was cruel to call me Dido and then expect me to just deal with it.
—Dido, Interview published in The Observer in 2001

Dido was educated at Thornhill Primary, City of London Girls' and Westminster School. After she stole a recorder from school at age five, her parents enrolled her at the Guildhall School of Music in London, England. By the time she reached her teens Dido had learned to play the piano, recorder and the violin. She later studied law at Birkbeck, University of London, while working as a literary agent. She never completed the course, deciding instead to take up music full-time. After learning the guitar, she showcased her skills to audiences during her 2004 Life for Rent tour.

Taylor Swift - Change

Taylor Swift - You're Not Sorry

& Then Boom

is the debut studio album by American new wave band, Iglu & Hartly. It was released on September 29, 2008.

The album has received generally negative reviews. It was rated only 2/10 when reviewed by NME (Who gave the "In This City" single 8/10) asking "Are Iglu & Hartly for real? Are they a pretend-gay, LA surf-rock in-joke?", and later commenting that it was an "abomination of a debut album, informed by all the most disgusting musical faux pas of the past 20 years". The Guardian commented about the album "it's a bit naff", and The Times said "pray that this doesn’t bring about a second Vanilla Ice-age."

Trouble is a Friend - Lenka

Trouble will find you no mater where you go, oh oh.
No Matter if you're fast no matter if you're slow, oh oh.
The eye of the storm and the cry in the morn, oh oh.
Your fine for a while but then start to loose control.

[Chorus 1:]
He's there in the dark,
he's there in my heart,
he waits in the winds
he's gotta play a part.
Trouble is a friend,
yeah trouble is a friend of mine. oh oh!

Trouble is a friend but trouble is a foe, oh oh.
And no matter what I feed him he always seems to grow, oh oh.
He sees what I see and he knows what I know, oh oh.
So don't forget as you ease on down the road.

[Chorus 1]

[Chorus 2:]
So don't be alarmed if he takes you by the arm.
I won't let him win, but im a sucker for his charm.
Trouble is a friend,
yeah trouble is a friend of mine. Oh oh!

Oh how I hate the way he makes me feel.
And how I try to make him leave; I try.
Oh Oh I try!

[Chorus 1]

[Chorus 2]

Oh, Oh.

Lenka - Profile

Lenka is an Australian singer-songwriter, most famous for her song "The Show", which has been used in numerous advertisements, most notably for Old Navy. Her vocal stylings offer a juxtaposition of catchy pop and layered, complicated world music influences. This juxtaposing is of late current in the popular music, spreading through the internet. Similar layering exists in the music of the anti-folk New York City artist Regina Spektor, or the French/Israeli/Tunesian tri-language singer-songwriter Yael Naim, or the eclectic Italian violinist/mandolinist Alessandro Mori, whose complicated yet accessible 2006 album bears the neologism of title: Unfolk, thereby inventing a catchall word for this new genre infectious, calculated pop synthesis. Lenka's eponymous album is the latest salvo it this ongoing process.

Her parents immigrated to Australia from Yugoslavia and are ethnic Croats. She was self-confessedly born and raised "in the bush", but as a 6-year-old child moved to Sydney, where she got her schooling, extensive music training, and started her music career.

Fearless

There's somethin' 'bout the way
The street looks when it's just rained
There’s a glow off the pavement
Walk me to the car
And you know I wanna ask you to dance right there
In the middle of the parking lot
Yeah
Oh yeah

We're drivin' down the road
I wonder if you know
I'm tryin' so hard not to get caught up now
But you're just so cool
Run your hands through your hair
Absent mindedly makin' me want you

And I don't know how it gets better than this
You take my hand and drag me head first
Fearless
And I don't know why when with you I dance
In a storm in my best dress
Fearless

So baby drive slow
‘Til we run out of road in this one horse town
I wanna stay right here in this passenger’s seat
You put your eyes on me
In this moment now capture it, remember it

Cuz I don't know how it gets better than this
You take my hand and drag me head first
Fearless
And I don't know why but with you I’d dance
In a storm in my best dress
Fearless

Well you stood there with me in the doorway
My hands shake
I'm not usually this way but
You pull me in and I’m a little more brave
It’s the first kiss,
It's flawless,
Really something,
It’s fearless.

Oh yeah
And I don't know how it gets better than this
You take my hand and drag me head first
Fearless
And I don't know why but with you I would dance
In a storm in my best dress
Fearless

Yeah
I don't know how
Oh yeah yeah

Taylor Swift Profile

Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13, 1989) is an American country music artist who began her career as a teenager. Signed to the independent Big Machine Records label in 2006, she made her debut on the Billboard country charts with the release of her debut single "Tim McGraw". This song, which peaked at #6, was the first of five singles from her self-titled debut, which was released in late 2006 and re-issued in 2007, and has been certified 3× Multi-Platinum by the RIAA. Following "Tim McGraw" were the #2 "Teardrops on My Guitar", the six-week Number One "Our Song", the #3 "Picture to Burn" and another Number One in "Should've Said No". All five singles from her debut were Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, as was her song "Change" from the AT&T TEAM USA Soundtrack. Her second album, Fearless, will be released on November 11, and its lead-off single "Love Story" has become her highest Hot 100 hit.

Taylor Swift was born in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania and lives with her parents, Scott and Andrea, and her brother, Austin, now in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Swift's influences include her grandmother and LeAnn Rimes. Although her grandmother was a professional opera singer, Taylor's tastes always ran more toward country and she developed a love for Patsy Cline and Dolly Parton at an early age. She also credits the Dixie Chicks and Shania Twain for demonstrating how much impact can be made by "stretching boundaries". At the age of ten, Swift began to perform around her home town, Wyomissing, singing at karaoke contests, festivals, and fairs, and also started writing songs. Her first exposure to the music business consisted of recording demo tapes at a studio. At age eleven, Swift made her first trip to Nashville in hopes of obtaining a record deal by handing out a demo tape she had made of her singing along to karaoke songs. She boldly handed this tape to receptionists at every label on Music Row. Swift faced much rejection, not just from record labels, but also from her peers. When asked how she was able to handle such hurtful rejection from record labels, she responded saying that it wasn't nearly as painful as the rejection she received from the kids around her. One of the first songs she wrote, The Outside, was her expression of feeling that rejection. After Swift returned to Pennsylvania, she was asked to sing at the U.S. Open tennis tournament, when her rendition of the national anthem completely moved the crowd.

Swift began to regularly visit Nashville, where, at age twelve, she wrote songs with local songwriters. Eventually, her family decided to move to an outlying Nashville suburb. Taylor Swift performed at Nashville's premier songwriters' café, The Bluebird Café, catching the attention of Scott Borchetta who signed her to his newly-formed record label, Big Machine Records.

Swift plays a Taylor Grand Auditorium acoustic guitar made of koa wood.

Swift confirmed in a 2008 interview with Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show that she had dated singer Joe Jonas and that he dumped her "over the phone in 27 seconds." Swift wrote the song "Forever & Always" about Jonas, and the song appeared on her album, Fearless. It was the last song that she had recorded, and it was a last minute addition to her album, making it 13 songs total. 13 is also Swift's "lucky number".

Weezer - Red Album

Weezer, also known as The Red Album is the sixth studio album by American rock band Weezer, released on June 3, 2008. Rick Rubin and Jacknife Lee both helped to produce the album. Like the first self-titled album (and unlike most Weezer records that featured Rivers Cuomo as the main songwriter and vocalist), other band members contributed to songwriting. This is the first Weezer album to feature lead vocals from all band members.

The video for the album's first single "Pork and Beans" quickly became the most-watched video on the internet the weekend following its release. Additionally, an unconventional Hootenanny Tour replaced the traditional rock concert tour to promote the album. The sales of The Red Album are below that of its 2005 predecessor, Make Believe, which was certified Gold (500, 000 copies) after the same amount of time The Red Album took to shift 300,000 albums.

Track listing
All songs were written and feature lead vocals by Rivers Cuomo, except where noted.

  1. "Troublemaker" – 2:44
  2. "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived (Variations on a Shaker Hymn)" – 5:52
  3. "Pork and Beans" – 3:09
  4. "Heart Songs" – 4:06
  5. "Everybody Get Dangerous" – 4:03
  6. "Dreamin'" – 5:12 – Co-lead vocals by Brian Bell
  7. "Thought I Knew" (Bell) – 3:01 – Lead vocals by Brian Bell
  8. "Cold Dark World" (Cuomo, Shriner) – 3:51 – Lead vocals by Scott Shriner
  9. "Automatic" (Wilson) – 3:07 – Lead vocals by Patrick Wilson
  10. "The Angel and the One" – 6:46

Weezer - Profile

Weezer (IPA: /ˈwizɚ/) is an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles, California formed in 1992. Initially, the band consisted of Rivers Cuomo (lead vocals, guitar), Patrick Wilson (drums, backing vocals), Matt Sharp (bass, backing vocals), and Jason Cropper (guitar, backing vocals). Cropper was later replaced by Brian Bell. Matt Sharp was subsequently replaced by Mikey Welsh who was later replaced with Scott Shriner. They have released six full-length albums, three EPs, and a DVD. Weezer has sold more than six million records in the US to date.

The band is most known for singles such as "Undone - The Sweater Song", "Buddy Holly" and "Say It Ain't So" from The Blue Album; "El Scorcho", from Pinkerton; "Hash Pipe" and "Island in the Sun" from 2001 album The Green Album; "Beverly Hills", "We Are All on Drugs" and "Perfect Situation" from Make Believe; and most recently "Pork and Beans" and "Troublemaker" from The Red Album.

Influence
Many modern bands list Weezer as an influence. Weezer themselves have listed several influences, among them KISS (with direct references in the song, "In the Garage"), Cheap Trick, Nirvana (who was their labelmate for a very brief time before Kurt Cobain's death), and Pixies (especially early on in their career). Early Weezer demos, such as "Paperface", have very obvious ties musically to the Pixies and Nirvana. Also, the song, "Susanne" originally read, "Even Kurt Cobain and Axl Rose" , instead of "Even Izzy, Slash, and Axl Rose", changed after Cobain's death. There is also a direct reference to Nevermind in "Heart Songs", a track found on The Red Album. As a side project, Weezer also briefly played Nirvana and Oasis covers under the stage moniker "Goat Punishment". In 1998, Weezer covered "Velouria" by the Pixies for a Pixies tribute album, and in 2005 briefly got to tour with their idols for a few dates. Green Day has also been said to be an influence (there is a direct lyric about Green Day in the song, "El Scorcho"), and it has been acknowledged that the two bands are friends with one another and enjoy each other's music. Weezer also contributed the song "Worry Rock" to Different Shade Of Green: A Green Day Tribute.

Prior to the album's release, the shortest song (excluding "Invocation of Apocalyptic Evil", the 14-second intro on Valley of the Damned) was the track "Dawn Over a New World", from the second album, Sonic Firestorm. This honour now goes to the special edition track "Strike of the Ninja". This song also holds the honour of being the first and, so far, only unedited song recorded by DragonForce with a length of less than five minutes, albeit due to it being a re-recorded version of "Feel the Fire" by Sam Totman's side project Shadow Warriors.

DragonForce - Profile

DragonForce is a British power metal band formed in 1999. They refer to themselves as "extreme power metal" and are known for fast guitar solos, fantasy-based lyrics, and electronic sounds in their music to add to the "video game metal" effect.

History
DragonForce was formed in 1999 from the remnants of the band Demoniac under the name of DragonHeart, but they changed their name to DragonForce before releasing any commercial albums due to possible issues with Brazilian band Dragonheart. Their career began with the publishing of their early songs on the first incarnation of MP3.com, claiming the top of the site's heavy metal charts. The hit song "Valley of the Damned" reached over 500,000 downloads in the first few months. Two of the original members, Steve Williams and Steve Scott, left the band to form the power metal outfit Power Quest. Sam Totman also started a side project called Shadow Warriors featuring himself and ZP Theart. Sam has confirmed many times that Herman Li was not involved with Shadow Warriors.

The band's first successful song was "Starfire" from their debut album, Valley of the Damned. It was most noted because it starts off with a piano intro, which is atypical among DragonForce songs. DragonForce have released four studio albums and toured extensively while supporting Helloween, W.A.S.P. and Iron Maiden. Their 2005 tour in support of the Sonic Firestorm album included support from Angra and Mendeed during their passage through the UK. On October 28, 2005 bassist Adrian Lambert announced his departure from the band in order to focus more time on raising his young son Less than a month after Lambert's departure, on November 23, 2005, DragonForce were signed to Roadrunner Records in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Australia and New Zealand, who released their third studio album, Inhuman Rampage on January 9, 2006. Lambert was replaced in 2006 by Frédéric Leclercq, who was made an official member after a performance on tour.

The song "Through the Fire and Flames" is featured in the video game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and is generally considered to be the hardest track in the Guitar Hero series. The developers used the song to demonstrate the game at E3. After Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock was released, the band's music sales increased dramatically. Their song being featured in the game has successfully placed the band into mainstream performances.

A new DragonForce album, titled Ultra Beatdown was released on August 26, 2008. This will be followed by an extensive North American tour through October with Turisas and then followed by a tour of Australia and the UK.

July 4th saw the release of DragonForce's first single from the new album, "Heroes of Our Time", released only on their MySpace page; however, it is also available on iTunes. The video for it was released on the band's official YouTube channel on July 9.

Jordin Sparks - No Air - Lyric

Tell me how I'm supposed to breathe with no air

If I should die before I wake
It's 'cause you took my breath away
Losing you is like living in a world with no air
Oh

I'm here alone, didn't wanna leave
My heart won't move, it's incomplete
Wish there was a way that I can make you understand

But how do you expect me
to live alone with just me
'Cause my world revolves around you
It's so hard for me to breathe

[Chorus:]
Tell me how I'm supposed to breathe with no air
Can't live, can't breathe with no air
It's how I feel whenever you ain't there
It's no air, no air
Got me out here in the water so deep
Tell me how you gonna be without me
If you ain't here, I just can't breathe
It's no air, no air

No air, air
No air, air
No air, air
No air, air

I walked, I ran, I jumped, I flew
Right off the ground to float to you
There's no gravity to hold me down for real

But somehow I'm still alive inside
You took my breath, but I survived
I don't know how, but I don't even care

So how do you expect me
to live alone with just me
'Cause my world revolves around you
It's so hard for me to breathe

[Chorus]

No air, air
No air, air
No air, air
No air, air
No more
It's no air, no air

[Chorus x2]

No air, air
No air, air
No air, air
No air, air
